Win Smith and Jill Lawrence are the directors of G.A.T.E.WAYS. They are both very experienced teachers with a special interest in highly able children. Win has taught primary and secondary students as well as adults, for over thirty years. At one time she coordinated the Accelerated Learning Program at Box Hill High School and she has developed a communications program for young leaders. Jill has taught in secondary schools for more than ten years. Over that time she has developed a keen interest in the area of Gifted Education, enhancing her own knowledge and expertise through studying curriculum development for the social, emotional and intellectual needs of gifted children. Aside from their professional expertise, both Win and Jill have experienced the joys and difficulties of parenting gifted and talented children. |
