Brainwaves
The G.A.T.E.WAYS Brainwaves Club program is based on the philosophy that highly able and gifted children have
particular needs for stimulation and challenge that match their high level of curiosity and desire to learn. In
addition, children with specialized skills and talents in advance of their age peers need both affirmation of these
abilities and opportunities for talent development. They also need opportunities to mix with like-minded peers
and to form rewarding friendships that further foster their interests, social skills and self-esteem. It is
G.A.T.E.WAYS aim to facilitate this positive social interaction in a non-threatening club atmosphere.
:: Melbourne
G.A.T.E.WAYS continues
to expand its clubs' program for primary aged gifted and talented
children. The clubs operate once a fortnight on a Saturday afternoon at Ivanhoe Grammar School, The Ridgeway, Ivanhoe, and Brighton Grammar School, 29-31 Grosvenor St, Brighton,
between 1.30 and 4.00 pm.

Pilots on Probation 'On Location' - Canberra
Pilots On Probation is a G.A.T.E.WAYS program ‘on location’ at Brindabella Flying School, Canberra Airport. It is for both boys and girls from Years 5, 6 and 7. It introduces students to the fascinating world of aviation – including hands-on flying in a plane and a simulator.
It is equally beneficial for those with a burning ambition to be a pilot, those interested in the mathematics and science of flight, and those who like to give things a try! The sessions are designed to entertain, involve and challenge the reasoning abilities of gifted students and to inspire them to follow their natural curiosity and innate instinct to learn.
