G.A.T.E.WAYS Cancellation Policy

There is no refund once an enrolment has been confirmed including

if you change your mind about your child attending.

subsequent to enrolment you discover a clash with a school or other event. The onus is on the parent and school coordinator to check for any conflicts with the school or other organisations prior to enrolment.

G.A.T.E.WAYS reserves the right to cancel a program if enrolled numbers make the program unviable. In this instance a credit will be applied or a refund made upon request (administration fees may apply).

G.A.T.E.WAYS reserves the right to substitute the program for a like-for-like program in the event that a program cannot go ahead due to unforeseen circumstances.
G.A.T.E.WAYS Missed Sessions Policy

There is no refund or credit if a parent, carer or school coordinator forgets to take a child to a face-to-face workshop.

The parent, carer or school coordinator is responsible for organising transport to a face-to-face program and there is no refund or credit if a child fails to attend because of transport issues.

There is no refund or credit if a parent, carer or school coordinator forgets to log-in a child for an online workshop.

G.A.T.E.WAYS is not responsible for individual technological issues (such as poor internet connection, software/hardware insufficiencies, etc) that may result in difficulty partaking in an online workshop. There is no refund or credit if a child fails to attend an online workshop due to technological issues outside of G.A.T.E.WAYS direct control.

There is no obligation for G.A.T.E.WAYS to provide an alternative date, venue or make up session for a missed workshop.

Where a child fails to attend because of illness, a 50% coupon credit will be applied to the child’s account upon notification 24 hours before the event, or upon presentation of a medical certificate within 3 days of the event.
G.A.T.E.WAYS Nomination and Enrolment Policy

To enrol in a teacher nominated program students must have received a Nomination Letter for that specific G.A.T.E.WAYS program.

Enrolment must only be made using the enrolment link provided in the Nomination Letter for that specific program and term. Enrolling through any other link or method is not considered a valid enrolment.

Enrolments close at 3:00 PM on the day before each program. Any enrolment made after this time may not be considered valid and a place is not guaranteed.

If you are unsure whether you have received the correct Nomination Letter or are using the correct enrolment link, please contact the G.A.T.E.WAYS Head Office team before making payment to confirm the enrolment process and availability.

G.A.T.E.WAYS Postponed Programs Policy

G.A.T.E.WAYS reserves the right to postpone a program in the event that a program cannot go ahead due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this occur, dates will be rescheduled and parents, carers and/or school coordinators will be notified. Parents, carers and/or school coordinators will then have seven days in which to notify G.A.T.E.WAYS if the rescheduled dates are unsuitable. Should all reasonable rescheduling options be exhausted, a credit will be applied or a refund made upon request (administration fees may apply).

G.A.T.E.WAYS reserves the right to provide an option of a like-for-like program in the event of postponement.
G.A.T.E.WAYS Online Programs Policy (Preparation Prior to Program)

It is the responsibility of the parent, carer or school coordinator to ensure that a child enrolled in an online workshop has met the following requirements prior to the commencement of the workshop:

Access to an appropriate desktop or laptop computer with working video and sound set up in a quiet space.

Reliable access to the internet and a backup plan should the internet signal not be strong on the day of the workshop (for example, a dongle or access to a mobile hotspot).

All worksheets downloaded and printed as required.

Any compulsory pre-work competed and requested resources and/or equipment ready.
-
Any compulsory Google Docs links pasted into the browser and ready to open at the start of the workshop.

There is no obligation for G.A.T.E.WAYS to provide alternative or make up sessions where the requirements above have not been met.
G.A.T.E.WAYS Anaphylaxis Policy

If a child has been diagnosed with an allergy that puts him/her at risk of anaphylaxis, the parent or carer must provide G.A.T.E.WAYS with a current ASCIA Action Plan (signed by a doctor and with an up-to-date photo) prior to the program commencement.

If the child has been prescribed an auto injector, an in-date EpiPen must be brought to the program. A child cannot be admitted to a program if he/she does not have a completed ASCIA Action Plan and auto injector, (or if this auto injector is out of date). This applies irrespective of whether a child has had a previous anaphylactic episode or not.​
